The Bangladesh Food Safety Foundation (BFSF) is a non-profit think-tank established in March 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Registered with the Directorate of Social Services of the Bangladesh Government, BFSF is a pioneering organization dedicated to science-based food safety advocacy. Governed by a constitution approved by the same directorate, BFSF leverages a strong framework for accountability and transparency.

GENERAL BODY

The General Committee consists of 50 members/scientists. Most of them are from primary production, secondary production, standard & certification, supply chain and retail marketing areas. Apart from those, there are members from microbiology, chemistry, horticulture, nutrition, laboratory analysis, risk assessment, and food safety management fields. All those members have vast experience and contributed in their own fields with reputation.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Body consists of eleven (11) members and are responsible to guide respective sectors. The Secretary General of the Foundation is also the Chief Executive Officer.
