This year’s theme, “Food Safety: Prepare for the Unexpected,” underscores the importance of being prepared for food safety incidents, no matter how mild or severe then can be and constant vigilance. Building on our unwavering commitment to food safety, we’ve been observing this day since our inception.

To mark World Food Safety Day, we’ve planned a series of engaging activities. The day will begin with a public rally, starting at Manik Mia Avenue and culminating at Khamarbari, Farmgate, at 10:00 AM. This will be followed by a seminar at the AKM Giasuddin Milky Auditorium, also located at Khamarbari, Farmgate. The seminar, titled “Building a Food-Safe Nation: How We Can Be Ready for Anything,” will feature a keynote address by Dr. Kamrul Hassan, Professor at Bangladesh Agricultural University.

In addition to these events, BFSF will distribute UN-provided digital communication materials and develop its own resources to raise awareness.
