World Food Safety Day 2023: Seminar on ‘Advancement of Self-compliance of Food Hygiene and Safety Standards in Food Establishments’

Dhaka, 25 May, 2023 – The Bangladesh Food Safety Foundation (BFSF) is excited to announce observance of the World Food Safety Day, scheduled to take place on 7 June 2023 in the Conference Room of the HORTEX Foundation, Sech Bhaban, Maink Mia Avenue, Dhaka. Bangladesh Restaurant Owners’ Association (BROA), Bangladesh Supermarket Owners’ Association (BSOA), AGreen Foundation and Pure Drinking Water Manufacturers’ Association in Bangladesh (PDWMAB) joined their hands with the BFSF to observe the day. This event is part of BFSF’s ongoing commitment to be united for safer food. 

The observance of the World Food Safety Day will provide insights on the advancement of self-compliance of food hygiene and safety standards in food establishments. Professor Dr. SM Nazrul Islam, Founding Chairman of the Bangladesh Engineering Research Council and former Vice-Chancellor of the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. This event will bring together food businesses, individual experts, academia and food control agencies to discuss and address key issues related to self-compliance of the food establishments. The event is open to invitees only.
