Dhaka, 5 May 2021 – The Bangladesh Food Safety Foundation (BFSF) is thrilled to announce its joint celebration of World Food Safety Day on 7 June 2021, alongside the Bangladesh Supermarket Owners’ Association (BSOA). While this year’s event may look a bit different due to COVID-19, we are committed to harnessing the power of virtual platforms and electronic media to raise awareness about food safety and promote a culture of safe food consumption.

Our Planned Activities:

Outreach to Food Businesses and Professional Agencies: We are extending our invitation to all food businesses and professional agencies to join us in this observance. An engaging e-flyer will be shared on select websites, urging them to participate.

Extensive Dissemination Efforts: We are reaching out to a wide range of stakeholders, including food businesses, trade and industry bodies, international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), print and electronic media outlets, diplomatic missions, international organizations operating in Bangladesh, individual professionals, and all those interested in promoting food safety.

Outreach Through SMS: Thousands of individuals will receive SMS notifications to ensure broad engagement in the global observance of World Food Safety Day.

We believe that ensuring food safety is a collective responsibility, and this celebration is an opportunity for all of us to come together and work towards safer and healthier food practices.
