The Bangladesh Food Safety Foundation (BFSF), in collaboration with esteemed partners, including the Bangladesh Restaurant Owners’ Association (BROA), Bangladesh Supermarket Owners’ Association (BSOA), AGreen Foundation, and Pure Drinking Water Manufacturers’ Association in Bangladesh (PDWMAB), celebrated National Food Safety Day 2024 on February the 3rd. This marked the third consecutive year of our collective commitment to food safety.
Mr. Monjur Shahriar, Joint Secretary to the Government and former Director of the Directorate of National Consumers Rights Protection presented a paper on the “Role of the Consumers and Protecting their Rights.” Three distinguished experts Dr. Iqbal Rouf Mamun, Professor, Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka; Mr. Akhtaruzzaman, Former Director, Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institute; Dr. Muhammad Abdul Malek, Professor, Department of Microbiology, University of Dhaka contributed as Panelists.

Mr. Golam Rahman, former Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh and President, Consumers Association of Bangladesh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Mr. Anowar Faruk, former Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh, Dr. Syed Md. Rafiqul Amin, Manning Director, Horticulture Export Development Foundation and Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed, Chairman, Bangladesh Mothophone Association as Guests of Honor. Dr. Md. Abul Bashar Mian, former Director of Bangladesh Chemical Industries of Corporation chaired the seminar.
